Introduction

Hello! My name is Sean McDowell, and on this website I will tell you a little bit about me, as well as show off some of my projects I have completed as a student at Texas State University! I graduated in 2023 with my bachelors in Digital Media Innovation with a concentration in sports media and am currently pursuing my masters in Digital Media Communication! I am currently focused on my final project, a documentary about the life of a small business owner in small-town communitites! The documentary will take a look at the life of Ace Pepper, the owner of the local guitar shop in San Marcos, Texas, and explore the charms of small-town life but also some of the hardships. The ultimate goal is to encourage audiences to think more deeply about what is lost when local businesses and community members disappear, and how important those people and towns are to the world.

In my free time I really enjoy spending time with my friends, playing video games, and enveloping myself in the world of music! I play a few different instruments including guitar, bass guitar, drums, ukulele, piano, and the trombone. I also enjoy going to my local music venues throughout the week, just to see who might be jamming out! A fun fact about me is that I used to work at Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida as a Photopass Photographer! I fell in love with photography during my time there and now from time to time I do some concert photography!
